We are seeking an experienced Project Manager III to lead and oversee high-priority initiatives and special projects within a large public-sector environment. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
This role involves senior-level consultative services, technical project management, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
PMP Certification is required
Lead complex projects using established project management methodologies and best practices.
Plan, assess, research, coordinate, and evaluate project management processes and operational functions.
Oversee and manage priority initiatives and special projects assigned by leadership.
Develop, maintain, and track project management tools, documentation, and reporting dashboards.
Report progress and project status updates to senior leadership and executive teams.
Coordinate with business units and program areas to ensure successful project execution.
Provide recommendations to leadership to enhance project management practices.
Support and collaborate with staff to manage, initiate, or participate in multiple cross-functional projects.
Utilize independent judgment, initiative, and problem-solving in completing assignments.
Ability to research, gather, analyze, and correlate data to develop solutions and prepare concise reports.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and effectively prioritize issues.
Experience developing and delivering reports that identify technology and operational gaps.
Skilled in managing multiple projects across large organizations, including system implementations.
Experience developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, contingency plans, and ensuring the removal of project barriers.
Strong ability to map business processes, identify process improvements, and facilitate meetings and group problem-solving sessions.
Experience creating statements of work, project charters, design documents, test plans, risk assessments, project budgets, resource plans, and cost estimates.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders and project sponsors.
Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
Experience summarizing and escalating issues appropriately and conducting weekly written and verbal status updates.
Experience compiling project status reports, distributing updates, and managing project information.
Experience developing written materials such as briefing documents, administrative reports, and presentations for senior-level audiences.
