Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Evening/Night Shift)
Location: Hyannis, MA
Type: Contract
Shift: 36 hours per week, rotating nights (7 PM–7 AM); every other weekend and holiday coverage required
Travel Rate: $2,389/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hyannis, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, sputum collection, spirometry, and capnography.
  • Interpret ABG results and monitor patient respiratory status during intra- and inter-facility transport.
  • Assist with conscious sedation, intubations, bronchoscopies, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care.
  • Assess and maintain artificial airways, manage tracheostomy tubes, and perform suctioning as needed.
  • Administer therapeutic gases such as oxygen, Heliox, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
  • Utilize airway clearance devices and administer aerosolized or metered-dose medications.
  • Provide, monitor, and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, offering clinical respiratory expertise.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily charge reconciliation.
  • Precept, train, and orient respiratory therapy students or staff as needed.
  • Maintain respiratory therapy equipment, supplies, and inventory; participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Active Massachusetts respiratory therapy license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of critical care respiratory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
