Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) – Day Shift

Location: Kennebunk, ME
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week

Shift & Schedule Details

  • Shift Type: Day Shift

  • Shift Time: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM

  • Shift Length: 8 hours

  • Workdays: Sunday – Saturday (7-day schedule rotation)

Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time day-shift contract assignment in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation environment. The PT will assess, plan, and provide rehabilitative services aimed at improving functional mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients’ mobility, strength, and functional needs

  • Develop individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation goals

  • Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and other skilled PT interventions

  • Document treatments, progress notes, and care plans accurately in the EMR

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered treatment

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safe mobility practices

  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and professional PT standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (SNF/LTC preferred)

  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload

  • Knowledge of EMR documentation systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education & Licensure

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy

  • Active PT License in the state of assignment (or eligibility to obtain)

  • BLS/CPR Certification (required)
