Job Title: OpenText Functional Testing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist

Navitas Partners, LLC is seeking a highly skilled OpenText Functional Testing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist to join our client’s IT team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that streamline business operations across multiple technology platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex automation initiatives within a collaborative, agile, and fully remote environment.
Design, develop, and implement automation scripts using OpenText UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for a variety of applications including Windows, Web, ServiceNow, SAP, and APIs.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
Execute and monitor automated test cases, documenting results and ensuring alignment with defined test plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business analysts, to define and deliver automation strategies.
Integrate UFT automation with other enterprise tools and technologies for end-to-end testing and workflow automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, providing detailed root cause analysis and recommendations.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including automation design, process flows, and user guides.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in automation standards, tools, and methodologies.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input to improve automation coverage and overall project delivery.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation development using OpenText UFT (formerly Micro Focus UFT).
Proven expertise automating across Windows, web applications, ServiceNow, SAP, APIs, and other UFT-supported platforms.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT platforms and Windows environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as DOS Batch, PowerShell, and VBScript.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and ALM for Agile project management and test tracking.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in distributed/remote team environments.
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices is a plus.
