Job Title: MRI Technologist

Contract Type: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 2–3 Days per Week (Approx. 24 hours/week) | Possible weekends | Flexible coverage for technologist vacations
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,091.12

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in New York City. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in MRI imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and physician instructions.

  • Ensure optimal image quality through precise patient positioning and equipment operation.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality.

  • Accurately document patient information, imaging data, and procedure details.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure timely and efficient workflow.

  • Adhere to all safety and infection control standards, including MRI zone protocols.

  • Provide compassionate and professional care to patients throughout the imaging process.

Required Education & Licensure:

  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-accredited program in Radiologic Technology.

  • New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.

  • A.R.R.T. (MRI) Registry Certification.

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of MRI experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with GE MRI systems highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MR physics.

  • Excellent technical, analytical, and patient care skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and safety awareness.
