Job Posting: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Location: Jamaica, NY 11432
Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Hours per Week: 28
Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay Rate: $55 – $58 per hour
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform a variety of complex laboratory tests to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will ensure quality control, equipment calibration, and compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests following established procedures
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
Record, analyze, and interpret test results with accuracy and timeliness
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient laboratory operations
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in a hospital or high-volume clinical lab setting
Education:
Required: Associate’s Degree from an accredited laboratory technology program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field
Certifications & Licensure:
Required: Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (092) issued by NYSED with Primary Source Verification
Preferred: BLS Certification
