Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT)

Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
Duration: 8–12 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (07:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)


Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a 8–12 week contract assignment in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent experience in an acute care or hospital-based respiratory care setting and be confident in providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across varying acuity levels.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care.


Schedule & Contract Details

  • Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

  • Duration: 8 or 12 Weeks

  • Weekends: As needed

  • Floating: May float to affiliated facilities as required

  • Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed

  • Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)

  • Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks after contract signing

  • RTO Policy: All time-off requests must be submitted with profile and discussed during the interview


Requirements

  • License: Active Ohio RRT or CRT License (must be in hand prior to submission)

  • Certifications:

    • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)

    • AHA BLS (required in hand at time of submission)

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience in acute or critical care settings

  • Vaccinations:

    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions only)

    • Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures in accordance with established protocols

  • Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques

  • Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy and make necessary adjustments

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff in developing and implementing care plans

  • Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac and respiratory arrests

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, assessments, and outcomes

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management as appropriate
