Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Quincy, MA
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $65–$70/hour (C2C) or $55–$60/hour (W2)
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in cloud-based data platforms, administration, and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Snowflake, Informatica IICS, and related technologies. This role involves managing data services, designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions, and ensuring data security and governance within a modernized data environment.
The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure efficient, secure, and high-performing cloud data systems.
Administer, configure, and support Cloud Database services (Snowflake).
Manage and support Data Platform services, including Informatica Cloud (IICS), Tableau, Cognos, SAS, GitHub, and MOVEit MFT.
Design, implement, and support cloud applications and AWS services.
Install and configure software on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Manage internal and external requests for data application access and permissions, ensuring data security and compliance.
Define and enforce data security policies, authentication, and authorization for cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design highly available, scalable, and performant cloud data solutions.
Evaluate and recommend new cloud products and technologies for enhanced data processing efficiency.
Monitor cloud data services and implement optimization strategies for performance and cost.
Implement data management and governance processes in the cloud.
Conduct regular system performance assessments and develop actionable improvement plans.
Provide excellent customer service via email, phone, and written communication.
Ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
3–5 years of experience implementing and supporting AWS cloud-based data solutions.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud database platforms.
3+ years working with cloud data services such as IICS, AWS, and GitHub.
5+ years of experience in Database Administration and Data Warehouse management on AWS.
Minimum 2 years of experience installing and configuring applications using cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Strong understanding of cloud network policies, firewall configurations, and data security protocols (encryption/decryption).
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripting.
Experience in user security and server administration.
Familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps).
Snowflake Certification.
Experience in healthcare or government data environments is a plus.
