Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions within a healthcare-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica and Snowflake, with a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and healthcare data standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into Snowflake.

  • Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and views in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.

  • Ensure data handling and storage comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational privacy/security standards.

  • Implement and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and quality processes to deliver consistent, reliable datasets.

  • Support interoperability and data exchange initiatives using standards such as HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines for performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Maintain documentation for data flows, metadata, and transformation logic.

  • Support data governance, access control, and security within Snowflake and Informatica.

  • Participate in testing, deployment, and release management for new workflows and enhancements.


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (SQL development, data modeling).

    • Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for ETL/ELT design.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience integrating structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, CSV).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and storage systems (e.g., S3, Blob Storage).

  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.


Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience using Python for automation and scripting.

  • Exposure to Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Data Catalog tools.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Snowflake or Informatica certifications are a plus.
