We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions within a healthcare-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica and Snowflake, with a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and healthcare data standards.
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and views in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
Ensure data handling and storage comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational privacy/security standards.
Implement and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and quality processes to deliver consistent, reliable datasets.
Support interoperability and data exchange initiatives using standards such as HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Maintain documentation for data flows, metadata, and transformation logic.
Support data governance, access control, and security within Snowflake and Informatica.
Participate in testing, deployment, and release management for new workflows and enhancements.
3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
Hands-on experience with:
Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (SQL development, data modeling).
Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for ETL/ELT design.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience integrating structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, CSV).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and storage systems (e.g., S3, Blob Storage).
Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
Experience using Python for automation and scripting.
Exposure to Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Data Catalog tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Snowflake or Informatica certifications are a plus.
