Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Edison, NJ

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Evening/Night

Pay Rate: $2,206.08 Weekly Gross ($61.28/hour)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment in Edison, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions, operating life-support equipment, and responding to emergency situations with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor respiratory care treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway management.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators and other advanced life-support systems.

  • Assess patients’ respiratory status and document findings in electronic medical records.

  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, analysis, and interpretation.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the rapid response team to provide coordinated patient care.

  • Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response activations.

  • Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans and equipment use.

  • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all respiratory therapy equipment.

  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance standards within the facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

  • Current New Jersey State License to practice as an RRT.

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-approved).

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or hospital setting.

  • Proficiency with ventilator management, airway procedures, and respiratory diagnostics.

Preferred:

  • Experience in critical care or emergency response teams.

  • Familiarity with EPIC or other EMR systems.
