Duration: 8 Weeks (Potential for Extension)

Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM

  • Tuesday, Thursday: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a dynamic healthcare team in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both front and back-office operations, possess strong communication and multitasking abilities, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with providers and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for exams and procedures.

  • Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant medical information accurately.

  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.

  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture, administer vaccines, and collect lab specimens as needed.

  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle front-office duties such as answering phones and verifying insurance.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.

  • Provide patient education on preventive care and treatment plans.

  • Support medical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (beyond externship).

  • Experience in front and back-office operations.

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems.

  • Current BLS or CPR certification (AHA or equivalent).

Preferred:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA).

  • Experience in Occupational Health or Primary Care settings.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
