Job Title: Travel X-Ray Technologist

Location: Maryville, TN 37804

Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)

Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

  • Mid Shift: 5x8 Hours (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
    Schedule: Every other weekend required

Pay Rate: $2,166 Weekly Gross


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Travel X-Ray Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and work collaboratively with medical professionals to support accurate diagnoses. This role requires proficiency in radiologic imaging, strong communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

  • Prepare and position patients properly to ensure optimal imaging results and patient comfort.

  • Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control policies.

  • Review images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission.

  • Maintain accurate patient and imaging records within the EMR system.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff regarding imaging results and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized imaging area and assist with workflow efficiency.

  • Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients throughout imaging procedures.


Qualifications:

Required Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

  • BLS (AHA) – Basic Life Support, American Heart Association

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist.

  • At least 1 year of EPIC EMR system experience required.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Must hold a valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (as applicable).


Work Environment:

  • Hospital or clinical setting.

  • Exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases (with proper PPE provided).

  • Standing and moving for extended periods may be required.

  • Must be available for rotating weekend shifts as part of the schedule.
