Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Chandler, AZ
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the dentist and dental staff to deliver exceptional patient care, focusing on preventive treatments and patient education. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in a team-based setting.
Perform oral hygiene treatments and patient education in accordance with state dental hygiene regulations.
Operate Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) equipment as needed.
Remove calculus, stains, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Apply fluoride treatments and protective sealants.
Review and update patient medical and dental histories accurately.
Provide counseling on nutrition and oral hygiene practices to prevent oral disease.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
Monitor and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and inventory.
Support daily office operations and contribute to team goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical team.
Clean, professional, and well-lit clinical setting.
Regular use of dental equipment such as X-ray machines, computers, and other dental tools.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, masks, eyewear, and gowns.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing during patient care.
Manual dexterity required for handling dental instruments.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and clinical risks; OSHA safety training required.
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Active Dental Hygienist License (State of Arizona).
Current CPR Certification.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience using GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment preferred.
