Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: Burleson, TX

Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional preventive and therapeutic dental care while ensuring a positive and comfortable patient experience. Working closely with the dentist and dental team, you will perform clinical procedures, educate patients on oral health, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform oral hygiene treatments and preventive care in accordance with state regulations.

  • Operate Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) equipment as needed.

  • Remove calculus, stains, and plaque from above and below the gum line.

  • Apply fluoride treatments and protective dental sealants.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention.

  • Record and update patient medical and dental histories accurately.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and instruments.

  • Support the dental team with additional duties as required to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Work Environment:

  • Professional clinical environment using standard dental and office equipment (computers, X-ray machines, phones, etc.).

  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, eyewear, and protective clothing).

  • Operates in a clean, sterile, and well-lit setting with regular patient interaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.

  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling dental instruments.

  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and related physical risks; OSHA compliance training required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.

  • Active Dental Hygienist License (State of Texas).

  • Current CPR Certification.

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and patient service skills.
