Job Title: Registered Nurse – Correctional Facility
Location: Moravia, NY
Duration: 26 Weeks (Extension Possible up to 52 Weeks)
Shift: Mid Shift | 5x8 Hour Shifts (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Pay: $55 - $58 per hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Correctional Facility for an exciting job in Moravia, NY.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and manage comprehensive care plans for patients within the correctional facility.
• Perform health assessments, administer prescribed treatments, and monitor patient progress.
• Identify and respond to health issues through nursing interventions, including case-finding, health teaching, and counseling.
• Supervise and mentor Graduate Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other direct care staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.
• Participate in health-related committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with facility and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensewith current registration in the State of New York.
• Strong commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
• Previous correctional or acute care nursing experience preferred, but not required
