Position Title: LPN – Correctional
Location: Coxsackie, NY
Job Type: Contract | Onsite | Full-time (0% Remote)
Shift: Night Shift | 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00/hour (Stipends available for travelers)
Contract: 26 Weeks
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking LPN – Correctional for an exciting Travel or Local job in Coxsackie, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic nursing care and administer medications as prescribed.
Monitor patient health, record vital signs, and document observations accurately.
Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility.
Assist physicians and registered nurses with patient care procedures.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and correctional health standards.
Promote a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active and unrestricted LPN license (New York State).
Minimum 2 years of LPN experience — Med-Surg background preferred.
Willingness to work in a correctional or secure environment.
Availability for flexible scheduling; part-time candidates (24–40 hours/week) may be considered.
Preferred:
Previous correctional healthcare experience.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
