Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

Location: The Woodlands, TX 77380

Duration: 12 weeks 

Shift: Day Shift | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | 4x10-hour shifts | Monday–Friday (some flexibility required)

Position Summary:

The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting physicians and the healthcare team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The technologist ensures patient safety, operates imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and supports the overall delivery of high-quality patient care in the Cath Lab environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform special and invasive radiologic procedures in compliance with radiation safety standards.

  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, position patients, and select proper imaging techniques.

  • Administer contrast media when necessary and ensure technical quality of all images.

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain Cath Lab and radiology equipment.

  • Enter and manage patient data in imaging systems accurately.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or patient safety concerns promptly.

  • Take emergency call assignments as required by department needs.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital and departmental policies, quality assurance standards, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Mentor and assist less experienced technologists, promoting continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

  • Current ARRT (R) certification required.

  • Current or temporary Texas Medical Board (MRT) license required.

  • BLS and/or ACLS certification required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift or maneuver patients safely as part of clinical duties.

  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, interventional procedures, and fluoroscopy operation.
