Position Title: Histotechnologist
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (No local candidates within 50 miles.)
Job Type: Contract | Onsite
Shift: Night Shift | 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM | Monday–Friday | 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $1,400–$1,500/week
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Histotechnologist for an exciting job in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
Receive and accession surgical specimens.
Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and reagents.
Collaborate with Pathology, Cytology, and IHC departments to ensure accurate workflow.
Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistants and process according to protocols.
Adhere to all quality assurance and safety standards.
Maintain specimen integrity and accurate documentation throughout processing.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Histology or Pathology Laboratory.
ASCP Certification (HT or HLT).
Completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
Preferred:
Experience in high-volume hospital or clinical pathology settings.
Familiarity with Cerner LIS.
