Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Houston, TX 77024
Duration: 11 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 8.5-hour shifts | Monday–Friday
Position Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting physicians and the healthcare team during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. This role involves monitoring patients, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring adherence to all safety and quality standards in the cardiac lab.
Responsibilities:
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment.
Operate and troubleshoot hemodynamic and imaging systems.
Monitor patient vital signs and communicate changes promptly to the care team.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and hospital protocols.
Collaborate closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure efficient and safe patient care delivery.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology.
Current ARRT (R), RCIS, or equivalent certification required.
Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional techniques.
