Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Plymouth, WI
Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Duration: 8 Weeks
Pay Rate: $20.00–$24.00/hour

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant to provide both front and back-office support in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong patient care skills, proficiency in phlebotomy, and the ability to maintain smooth daily operations. This position requires a proactive, compassionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients in a courteous and professional manner

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars

  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries promptly

  • Record and monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)

  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture, preparing specimens for laboratory testing

  • Administer vaccines according to established protocols

  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing as needed

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Support clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards

  • Participate in patient education and outreach initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (externship experience accepted)

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

  • Experience in Occupational Health is a plus

  • Proficient in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficient with computer systems, scheduling tools, and data entry

  • Commitment to quality patient care and professional conduct

Required Skills:

  • Front and back-office clinical experience

  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture proficiency

  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) administration

  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing

  • Patient scheduling and rooming

  • Vital signs monitoring and documentation

  • BLS or CPR certification
