Position Title: Compliance Assistance Project Manager
Location: Columbia, SC – Onsite (Everyday travel is required throughout the state, and occasional overnight travel (occurs monthly or quarterly))
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview:

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking Compliance Assistance Project Manager for an exciting job in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project objectives and scope, including time frames, funding, procedures, and project life cycles for multi-agency, enterprise projects.

  • Coordinate and manage projects from inception through completion using established project management methodologies.

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and execute communication plans with organizational leaders, elected officials, regulated facilities, and the public regarding project status or impact.

  • Prepare status reports and provide updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and project champions.

  • Manage procurement processes and participate in contract negotiations resulting from project RFPs.

  • Review requests for changes and recommend updates to project sponsors or stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and tasks are completed on time.

  • Create quality management plans, maintain project documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of project management training and workshops.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience managing large, moderately complex projects with measurable risk.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in planning, organizing, and managing strategic and tactical assignments, particularly state-wide enterprise or agency-level IT initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, align outcomes with organizational objectives, and drive transformative results.

  • Experience in delivering project performance reports for data-driven decision-making and proactive strategy adjustments.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

  • Ability to inspire teams, cultivate collaboration, and achieve strategic goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of state government procurement regulations and fiscal policies.

  • Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Skilled in interpreting and applying environmental rules and regulations.

  • Competent in conceptualizing change and implementing actionable plans.

Special Requirement:

  • 20 years of experience in implementing environmental programs.
