We are seeking an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to serve as a Quality Assurance Reviewer for the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Program. This role ensures that evaluations for individuals with mental illness comply with Federal (42 CFR 483) and State standards. The LICSW will review clinical documentation, assess diagnostic accuracy, and provide constructive feedback to evaluators to promote consistency and quality across the program.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel for meetings, trainings, or on-site reviews.
Conduct comprehensive clinical quality reviews of PASRR Level II evaluations, follow-ups, and significant change assessments.
Verify diagnostic accuracy, treatment recommendations, and placement determinations to ensure compliance with PASRR Federal and State regulations.
Review and evaluate clinical documentation for completeness, clarity, and adherence to professional standards.
Identify quality trends, inconsistencies, or documentation gaps and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide professional feedback to evaluators, supporting adherence to quality and compliance standards.
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and Washington State confidentiality requirements.
Prepare and submit completed quality reviews per program timelines and data integrity guidelines.
Participate in audit preparation and provide data summaries or reports as requested by leadership.
Active Washington State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) – Required.
Minimum 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision, peer review, or quality assurance in behavioral health or long-term care settings.
Minimum 4 years of clinical experience with geriatric, long-term care, or medically complex populations.
Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment planning for older adults.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver professional, solution-oriented feedback.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems.
Experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare or government-funded environments.
Prior experience with PASRR, Medicaid, or long-term care programs.
Familiarity with Federal PASRR guidelines (42 CFR 483) and State procedures.
Proven ability to interpret and apply clinical and regulatory standards.
Experience with data-driven quality improvement initiatives.
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
Primarily remote – must have reliable internet access and a secure workspace.
Occasional travel may be required for in-person reviews, meetings, or training sessions.
