Job Description:

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking ArcGIS Geospatial Architect & Governance Lead for an exciting Local job in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, implementation, and governance of ArcGIS-based solutions, ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

  • Develop and maintain geospatial architectures, workflows, and metadata standards for enterprise analytics.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define governance frameworks and enable effective data integration.

  • Manage GIS datasets, including demographic, socioeconomic, health, and program data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Mentor GIS analysts and developers, providing guidance on spatial analysis, web mapping, and visualization best practices.

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for geospatial data policies, quality assurance, and advanced spatial analyses.

  • Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and interactive web maps for leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field.

  • 7+ years GIS experience with 3+ years in a lead or architect role, preferably in health, human services, or government.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, database management, network analyst, spatial analysis, web mapping).

  • Experience in geospatial governance, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, metadata standards, and data quality assurance.

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabases and Python/SQL scripting.

  • Experience with Medicaid, public health, or social services datasets.

  • Agile/Scrum development experience.

  • GIS certifications (Esri Enterprise System Design Professional, Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Admin, GISP).

  • Experience with machine learning, GeoAI, or generative AI for geospatial analytics.

  • Knowledge of Snowflake data warehouses and custom web-based GIS applications.
