Job Title: Radiologic Technologist — Radiographer

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) to join a healthcare team in Brooklyn, NY. The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, supporting physicians and healthcare providers in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This is a patient-centered role requiring technical expertise, attention to detail, and compassion.
Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations using approved techniques and protocols.
Position patients properly and operate imaging equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
Verify physician orders and confirm patient identity prior to imaging.
Explain imaging procedures to patients and maintain comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
Apply radiation safety practices, including ALARA principles, for patients, staff, and self.
Review images for accuracy, clarity, and diagnostic quality; repeat exams as necessary.
Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in accordance with department policies.
Assist patients with transfers and mobility when needed.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot minor issues, and report service needs.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a General Radiographer.
Knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and diagnostic imaging protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program (civilian or military).
Required:
Current ARRT certification and registration (Radiography).
Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, move, or position patients and imaging equipment as needed.
Ability to work with patients of all ages and conditions in a clinical setting.
