Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Duration: 13 Weeks (extendable)
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay Rate: $2,542 Weekly Gross
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry to join a dynamic inpatient team. This role involves caring for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs in a high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will be confident in telemetry monitoring, general med/surg nursing, and managing a diverse patient population.
Med 2: 24 beds | Combination Med/Surg & Stroke unit | Specializes in stroke monitoring and support.
Med 3: 34 beds | General Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
Typical Ratios: 6:1.
Patient Population: GI issues, cardiac conditions, renal conditions, confusion, and altered mental status.
Provide comprehensive nursing care for med/surg and telemetry patients.
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips to identify and respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe and effective care.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
Document patient assessments, care delivered, and outcomes in compliance with hospital standards.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
Active RN license (New York State or Compact).
AHA BLS certification required.
