Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide both front and back office support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role involves greeting and rooming patients, managing scheduling and phone inquiries, as well as performing essential clinical tasks including taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and assisting with patient care as needed. Success in this position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for both front and back-office functions.

  • Greet and room patients in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Manage scheduling and phone communications.

  • Take vitals, perform phlebotomy/venipuncture, and administer vaccines.

  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.

  • Document accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

  • Maintain effective communication with patients and clinical staff.

  • Ensure a collaborative, efficient, and supportive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience (beyond externship).

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR experience required.

  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients.

  • Commitment to health education and patient outreach.
