Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Location: Hyannis, MA
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $55 – $65 per hour
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical/Surgical Telemetry team in Hyannis, MA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to step into leadership responsibilities when needed.
Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive physical, psychological, and social assessments; develop and implement individualized care plans; monitor and adjust interventions as needed.
Leadership Support: Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required, ensuring safe, effective, and continuous care during assigned shifts.
Documentation: Accurately maintain and update patient records within the electronic health record system.
Collaboration: Partner with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals; mentor and support less experienced staff.
Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control policies, hospital protocols, and safety standards; actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices; engage in ongoing education and training opportunities; contribute to unit and organizational goals.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active Massachusetts RN License
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Successful completion of facility-required Pharmacology and Arrhythmia Exams prior to assignment start
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in cardiac or telemetry nursing
