Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Rotating Dayshifts | Occasional weekends & holidays | On-call required

Travel Rate: $2,873.50/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide safe, high-quality, and comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical patients, while also serving as a charge nurse and resource to the team. This role requires strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and care plans.

  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with hospital standards.

  • Perform charge nurse duties, supervising and supporting nursing staff.

  • Utilize electronic medical record systems efficiently for documentation and communication.

  • Participate in staff meetings, education sessions, and patient care assessment committees.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection-control standards.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.

  • Represent the organization with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Current RN license in Massachusetts.

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

  • Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams.

  • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).

  • BSN preferred.

  • Skilled in IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care.

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within last 5 years) in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, or SDC/PACU; PACU/SDC experience preferred.
