Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
On-Call: Rotation required (nights, weekends, and holidays)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing cardiovascular care team. This role involves delivering advanced nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.

  • Perform patient assessments, verify consents, and administer pre-procedure medications.

  • Monitor and document EKG and hemodynamic status throughout procedures, responding promptly to changes or emergencies.

  • Assist physicians with interventions while maintaining a sterile field and operating specialized cath lab equipment.

  • Deliver thorough post-procedure care, including patient education and discharge instructions.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team and act as a resource for support staff.

  • Participate in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in telemetry, critical care, or cardiac cath lab

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Proficiency in arrhythmia interpretation and emergency response

  • Ability to safely use protective equipment (lead apron)

  • Strong communication skills and commitment to excellence in patient care
