Job Title: CT Technologist – Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, with every other weekend (EOW) rotation.
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography procedures using established protocols and professional judgment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, documentation standards, and patient care requirements while collaborating with physicians and radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Apply appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic CT images.
Perform daily quality control calibration checks to ensure equipment accuracy and readiness.
Administer contrast agents or radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders and prescribed protocols.
Maintain compliance with departmental documentation, logs, charge documents, and regulatory requirements.
Perform quality control, assurance, and safety tests; follow ALARA principles to ensure radiation safety.
Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient images and data for radiologist interpretation.
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify upon receipt.
Verify activity levels of radiopharmaceutical doses before administration.
Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Proficiency in performing CT procedures according to protocols.
Ability to assess and respond to patient needs with sound clinical judgment.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance practices.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
Current New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Radiologic Technologist License.
ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required.
