Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
Weekend Requirement: As needed
Holiday Requirement: As needed
On-Call: Required
Float: To like areas as assigned
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care, as well as accurate documentation of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, and responses to treatment. The RN also supervises and evaluates the work of non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room.
Apply the nursing process to deliver safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.
Ensure documentation accurately reflects patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
Provide intraoperative support, monitoring patient condition, and responding to changes as needed.
Assign and evaluate work of non-nursing care staff in the OR.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Adhere to policies regarding safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop and implement nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services in a surgical setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interaction.
Required:
Valid New Jersey or multi-state compact RN license.
Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS.
Preferred:
ACLS (AHA).
CNOR certification.

3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts as needed.
Float assignments to similar care areas may be required.
