Job Title: Associate Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Waukesha, WI 53188

Duration: 11 Months

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Daily Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, supplier improvements, and supplier capacity & capability assessments while guiding key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.

  • Collaborate with suppliers on design control, design verification and validation, production & process controls, corrective & preventative actions, complaints, and risk management.

  • Support product quality improvements using tools such as Six Sigma, Design for Reliability (DFR), and other quality methodologies.

  • Ensure availability of parts and equipment, providing updates as necessary.

  • Oversee timely test development or duplication.

  • Deliver the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for all parts.

  • Partner with internal and external teams to generate required quality documentation.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with all quality requirements.

  • Facilitate design reviews between engineering teams and suppliers.

  • Drive supplier and process development initiatives.

  • Define and execute Part Quality Plan (PQP) elements — including FAI, capability studies, FMEA, control plans, and Gage R&R — in collaboration with suppliers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in quality, manufacturing, supplier quality, supplier development, or engineering in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong data management and Excel skills.

  • Project management experience.

  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex tasks.

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing abilities.

  • High level of judgment in decision-making.

  • Knowledge and expertise in manufacturing processes (mechanical and electronics commodities experience a plus).
