Job Title: CT Technologist – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10025
Schedule: Part-Time | 16 hrs/week | Saturdays (8:00 AM – 12:00 AM, 16-hour shift)
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires the ability to operate CT imaging equipment, perform injections, maintain documentation, and follow radiation safety protocols.
Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure diagnostic image quality.
Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment.
Administer contrast injections and radioactive material per physician’s orders and protocol.
Maintain department documentation, logs, and charge documents, reporting any equipment issues promptly.
Perform quality control, assurance, and safety tests in alignment with ALARA principles.
Maintain and retrieve patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
Order and verify radiopharmaceutical doses as per established procedures.
Provide compassionate patient care before, during, and after imaging studies.
Ability to perform CT procedures per protocol with accuracy and consistency.
Strong judgment and ability to assess/respond to patient needs throughout the imaging process.
Required:
NYS DOH license as a Radiologic Technologist.
ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
BLS certification.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
