Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited RN program

  • Current RN NH License

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required

  • 2 years of Emergency Department experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, hardworking, and dedicated RN to join our Emergency Department team. The ED is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, as well as highly skilled emergency care nursing staff. As a Level IV Trauma Center, we provide emergency care for patients of all ages with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care within scope of practice

  • Use clinical knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care

  • Assess and interpret patient data to determine age-specific care needs

  • Deliver safe, efficient, high-quality care in accordance with department policies and procedures

  • Demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization

  • Resolve patient care and departmental situations within scope of responsibility; escalate as appropriate

  • Assist with data collection in research studies conducted within the department

About the Emergency Department

As an established Level IV Trauma Center, our Emergency Department is prepared to provide trauma care to patients of all ages 24/7. A Level IV trauma designation is awarded to hospitals that demonstrate the ability to provide advanced trauma life support prior to transfer. This designation mandates the establishment of emergency protocols and a formal quality assessment program, with recertification required every three years.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Successful completion of an accredited RN program

  • Current RN NH License

  • One year of RN experience preferred (will train the right candidate)

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

  • Requires bending, crouching, or kneeling; lifting up to 20 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)

  • Strong ability to provide appropriate patient care under pressure

  • Flexible, compassionate, and able to balance self-care with patient care

  • Skilled in de-escalating difficult situations (verbally and nonverbally)

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with colleagues and first responders
