Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (Part-Time) to join our healthcare team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will provide both front and back-office support, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients while ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Take patient vitals, perform phlebotomy/venipuncture, administer vaccines, and assist with EKGs.
• Perform point-of-care (POC) testing and document results accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk responsibilities.
• Answer phones, verify patient information, and update EMR systems.
• Support physicians and nurses with clinical procedures.
• Maintain collaborative and professional relationships with staff and patients.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Medical Assistant (excluding externship); 2–3 years strongly preferred.

Certification: Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.

Skills Required:

• Phlebotomy/venipuncture
• EKG administration
• POC testing
• EMR proficiency
• Front and back-office operations
• Scheduling and patient flow management

Additional Requirements:

• BLS or CPR certification
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Experience in Occupational Health preferred
• Ability to educate patients and contribute to health outreach
