Job Title: RN – Inpatient Pediatrics (Surgical Unit)

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Work Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift timing: Days (3*12)

Requirement: Pediatric exp, and RN license

Travel rate: $2595 weekly (Include stipend)

Local rate: $2232 weekly

Job Description:

• Deliver direct patient care to pediatric surgical patients in an acute care setting with minimal supervision.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes.
• Educate and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC EMR system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.
• Participate in unit rounds, staff meetings, and applicable training.
• Work every other weekend and select holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted New York State RN License
• Minimum 1.5 years recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care pediatric setting
• At least 2 years’ experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
• Previous experience in EPIC EMR preferred
• Travel RNs must have experience in hospitals of similar or larger size/level of care
• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical skills
