Job Title: Logistics Support Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 16 Months (Potential for Extension)
We are seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to support the planning, implementation, and coordination of logistics operations and asset management programs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in vehicle coordination, inventory management, and process improvement. This role involves working across departments to ensure operational readiness and compliance in mobile health and administrative environments.
Plan and implement logistics and operational projects based on defined objectives and timelines
Create, maintain, and analyze complex spreadsheets, databases, and reports
Perform data collection and analysis to support decision-making and program improvements
Coordinate the use, maintenance, and servicing of department vehicles and mobile resources
Conduct routine safety checks and oversee preventive maintenance for mobile clinics and specialty vehicles
Accurately log vehicle service events, mileage, fuel usage, downtime, and repairs
Support onboarding and planning for new fleet acquisitions including electric and oversized vehicles
Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure efficient asset management
Facilitate logistics project meetings and deliver training sessions on systems and procedures
Assist in developing and executing change management initiatives and awareness campaigns
Perform monthly and annual warehouse and inventory audits
Help manage the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) program, including inspections and replacements
Assist in procurement processes for office supplies and medical equipment
Support financial reporting, budget planning, and fuel reconciliation related to fleet operations
Train to operate oversized vehicles and onboard equipment as needed
Learn and support the transition to a new asset management system
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of three (3) years of clerical and/or administrative experience
At least two (2) years of experience in inventory management (capital and non-capital assets)
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
Ability to conduct presentations and facilitate training sessions
Valid Arizona driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one by the time of hire)
Ability to meet immunization requirements within one month of hire (e.g., MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza; may also include Hepatitis B and TB testing depending on role)
Experience coordinating equipment and vehicle use across multiple programs or locations
Experience developing and documenting operational procedures
Familiarity with mobile health units or RV-style specialty vehicles
Skilled in both in-person and remote (telework/online) training delivery
Experience with fleet maintenance coordination
