Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY (Mobile Mammography Unit)
Schedule: 4 Days/Week | 10-Hour Shifts (Total 40 Hours/Week)
Travel: Required – Travel to Multiple Counties with Varying Hours
Pay Rate:
Local Candidates: $52/hr
Travel Candidates: $60/hr
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist to join a mobile mammography team providing critical breast imaging services across various communities. This is a dynamic role ideal for a skilled technologist who enjoys patient interaction and is comfortable with a mobile work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
Assist with stereotactic breast procedures under the supervision of a radiologist
Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
Operate mammography equipment, using proper techniques to capture high-quality diagnostic images
Ensure compliance with ACR and MQSA standards
Accurately maintain patient records and input data for billing
Contribute to high-quality patient care in a team-driven setting
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist License (or eligibility)
ARRT Certification in Mammography (or eligible—must obtain within 12 months of hire)
Minimum of 1 year of radiologic imaging experience
Current CPR Certification
Successful completion of pre-employment health screening
Preferred Skills:
At least 1 year of hands-on mammography experience
Excellent patient care and communication abilities
Flexibility to accommodate a travel-based schedule with variable hours
