Pay Rate: $40/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 3x12 day shift travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This position offers an opportunity to support surgical teams in a dynamic operating room environment, assisting with procedures and ensuring optimal patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments according to scheduled procedures
Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs
Maintain sterile fields and uphold infection control protocols throughout procedures
Perform instrument, sponge, and supply counts before and after surgeries
Handle and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis
Participate in post-operative room turnover and restocking
Requirements:
Active CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
Proficient in sterile techniques and aseptic practices
Strong team player with effective communication skills
