Job Title: Ecommerce Merchandising System Specialist
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Contract Duration: 4 Months (Possible Extension)
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Merchandising System Specialist to act as a key liaison between business teams and IT for merchandising and ecommerce systems. This role involves system administration, troubleshooting, documentation, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure optimal system performance and data integrity.
Serve as the primary support resource for merchandising and ecommerce systems, aligning technical solutions with business requirements.
Administer system configurations, parameters, and data validations to maintain system health and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in coordination with IT and business teams.
Manage support tickets involving product data, pricing, inventory visibility, and invoice discrepancies.
Maintain and ensure master data integrity across core platforms such as SAP and PIM.
Support system testing, UAT, and validation efforts, providing detailed feedback to improve functionality and user experience.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate on system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and service-level agreements.
Analyze and improve merchandising system processes to align with ecommerce best practices.
1–2 years of experience in ecommerce, merchandising systems, or master data management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Understanding of ecommerce platforms, PIM/PXM, omnichannel merchandising, and related supply chain functions.
Experience supporting merchandising systems, troubleshooting data flow, system configuration, and user support.
Familiarity with SAP (S/4HANA preferred), PIM systems, and UAT processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey technical details to non-technical users.
Experience collaborating across IT, business analysis, and ecommerce teams.
Background in retail or consumer goods with exposure to merchandising systems.
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
