Assignment Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift Type:  Night Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit across multiple locations in New York. This role is ideal for RNs passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data; respond promptly to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessment

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and physician-prescribed treatments

  • Perform clinical procedures including wound care, catheter care, and oxygen administration

  • Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

  • Uphold rigorous infection control, safety, and quality standards

  • Respond to emergencies with prompt, appropriate interventions including CPR

  • Operate and maintain telemetry monitoring systems and manage related clinical equipment

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment

  • Previous experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
