Shift timing: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Rotating days of week to include Saturday at different locations)

Pay rate: $60-65/hr. on W2

Job Description:

  • This position performs nuclear medicine exams to provide images of organs, evaluate body functions, and analyze biological specimens to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Position is responsible for conducting moderate to complex analysis in assigned area to include monitoring of resources, evaluation of processes and presentation of historical information trends to ensure optimal departmental effectiveness.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and computer systems to capture diagnostic images.
  • Perform imaging procedures such as bone scans, cardiac stress tests, thyroid scans, and whole-body scans.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide support throughout the procedure.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, proper documentation, and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to review and interpret images.
  • Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical use, patient data, and scan results.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines for radiation exposure, contamination control, and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine quality assurance checks and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and aftercare instructions.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies related to nuclear medicine.
