Job Title: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA)
Location: New York, NY 10003
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Duration: 3+ Month Contract

Pay Rate: $30 per hour (W2)

Schedule Requirements (Must Have):

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• At least 7 years of related healthcare experience

• Active New York State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) is responsible for delivering treatment plans developed by a licensed physical therapist. This role includes maintaining accurate documentation, ongoing communication with the supervising therapist, and active participation in patient care planning and progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising physical therapist

• Maintain timely and complete documentation of patient care

• Provide regular updates on patient progress to the physical therapist

• Identify and communicate changes in patient condition

• Coordinate durable medical equipment needs with the care team

• Contribute to discharge planning and ongoing therapy recommendations

• Attend scheduled conferences, in-services, clinics, and team meetings

• Participate in clinical supervision of PTA students

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7 years of related experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting

• Current New York State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to assess, analyze, and solve patient care issues effectively
