Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Fulton, MO
Positions Available: 2 Vacancies
Shift: 8-hour or 13.33-hour shifts between 6:45 AM – 11:15 PM
Schedule: Must be available to work every other weekend and up to 48 hours in a one-week period

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Fulton, MO is seeking two dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a supportive and structured environment. The ideal candidates will be skilled in clinical nursing practices, crisis response, and patient education, while maintaining strict compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of the nursing profession, including compliance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics.

  • Observe and report changes in patients' mental and physical conditions to ensure timely and effective care.

  • Implement assigned program interventions and clinical procedures as part of individualized treatment plans.

  • Educate patients on life skills, medication therapy, symptom management, and overall health maintenance.

  • Respond to and participate in crisis interventions, including managing aggressive behavior, suicide attempts, and medical emergencies.

  • Perform emergency care techniques such as CPR and aggression management when necessary.

  • Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments per provider orders.

  • Maintain thorough and legal documentation in all required records, including MARs, narcotic logs, progress notes, and education sheets.

  • Assist Registered Nurses in developing, updating, and maintaining nursing care plans and treatment programs.

  • Maintain medication carts and medication rooms in clean, organized, and compliant condition.

  • Assign and supervise duties of ward staff and oversee essential nursing tasks.

  • Mentor and support new employees through guidance and skill development.

  • Contribute to performance improvement by identifying issues and participating in corrective actions when appropriate.

  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) conditions of participation.

  • Communicate respectfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing (including email).

Qualifications

  • Current and valid LPN license in the state of Missouri.

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-acuity environment.

  • Ability to perform in crisis situations, including medical emergencies and behavioral health interventions.

  • Experience in medication administration and documentation.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high standards of care.
