Job Title: Enterprise Data Architect – Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $75 – $80/hour

Candidate must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed.

Scope of the Project:
This role will guide the design of enterprise data solutions, defining architecture standards for scalable data platforms that support enterprise-wide analytics and compliance.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture design sessions, developing strategies for enterprise data environments.
• Create data models, data flow diagrams, and architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership and project teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Evaluate current data systems and recommend modernization strategies.
• Ensure data solutions meet regulatory and security standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to data engineering and development teams.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise solution design.
• Strong background in cloud-based data architecture (AWS or Azure).
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, and data modeling tools.
• Experience architecting large-scale data warehouses and data lakes.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards for enterprise data.

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud certifications in AWS or Azure.
• Prior experience with state healthcare systems or Medicaid data environments.
