Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Analyst / Readiness Liaison to support a major statewide financial system transformation for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This role focuses on helping state agencies understand, prepare for, and successfully adopt new business processes, tools, and technologies.
You will act as a bridge between the project team and agency staff, making sure users are ready and confident to transition from old systems to the new one. If you’re passionate about helping people through change, good at simplifying complex information, and comfortable working with large organizations, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with assigned groups of state agencies to guide them through the transition to a new financial system.
  • Explain upcoming changes clearly, help identify what’s different from current processes, and ensure agencies are ready before go-live.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system access, data readiness, and user security are in place.
  • Support training, communication, and readiness assessments across all levels of users.
  • Help identify “change champions” within each agency to promote and support adoption internally.
  • Track progress and maintain readiness checklists to make sure all technical and operational tasks are complete.
  • Assist in planning and leading workshops, meetings, and Q&A sessions with agency staff and leadership.
  • Support post-go-live follow-up, helping resolve issues and ensuring continued adoption.

Skills and Qualifications:
Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in change management, training, communications, or project support roles within large organizations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to explain complex changes in a simple and engaging way.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Good understanding of business operations such as finance, procurement, grants, or data reporting.
  • Ability to travel within Massachusetts to meet with agency teams if needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience in public sector or enterprise system rollouts (e.g., ERP or financial system implementations).
  • Familiarity with readiness planning, end-user training coordination, and security provisioning.
  • Experience using change assessments, surveys, or feedback tools.
  • Ability to create or interpret process maps (as-is/to-be).

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Strong understanding of the ADKAR model
  • Training or coursework in Organizational Development, Project Management, or Business Process Improvement is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently
  • Strong listening, empathy, and relationship-building skills
  • Skilled at influencing others and building consensus
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple agency relationships at once
