Job Title: SAP Change Management Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite Preferred)

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Project Scope:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Change Management Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of a structured change management process within a large enterprise SAP environment. The role focuses on process development, tool implementation (e.g., SAP Solution Manager), documentation, and team training to improve change control efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current change management procedures and propose improvements or enhancements

  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure change management processes align with industry best practices and tool capabilities

  • Analyze and select the appropriate change management tools, with emphasis on SAP Solution Manager

  • Configure change management tools to align with approved processes

  • Document all functional and technical aspects of the change management process

  • Conduct training for internal teams on newly defined and approved change management processes

  • Support key change activities such as:

    • Request for Change (RFC)

    • SAP system upgrades

    • OSS Note installations

    • Support Pack installations

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing structured change management processes

  • Expertise in SAP Solution Manager: configuration, administration, and integration with change control

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP modules (ECC, SRM, BW)

  • Deep understanding of SAP upgrades, OSS Notes, Support Packs, and troubleshooting

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with alternative SAP change management tools and frameworks

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP public sector experience

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and SQL environments

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, Project

  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with organizational goals

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent (5+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
