Position Summary:

A public school district in Laurens, South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Level 2 School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. The psychologist will provide in-person support to students, educators, and families through psychoeducational assessments, consultations, and interventions that support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and write detailed evaluation reports

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and student re-evaluations

  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers to develop behavioral and academic interventions

  • Provide crisis response and support for students as needed

  • Consult with families, administrators, and outside agencies regarding student support

  • Deliver direct and indirect counseling services, when applicable

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (IDEA, Section 504)

  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies

  • Maintain documentation and case files in a timely and accurate manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology

  • Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification or eligibility

  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred

  • Knowledge of special education laws, assessments, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS/RTI)

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
