A reputable health system is seeking an experienced LPN to support its Complex Patient Unit for a night shift contract assignment. The LPN will be responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting and must be comfortable floating to similar units across the network.
Provide direct bedside care, monitoring, and documentation for medical-surgical patients
Administer medications, assist with procedures, and perform wound care under RN supervision
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and respond to patient needs promptly
Document all care in EPIC EMR system accurately and in a timely manner
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control procedures, and safety regulations
Participate in shift reports, hand-offs, and quality improvement activities
Float to other Prisma Health units or campuses based on census and staffing needs (within scope and competency only)
Active South Carolina LPN License
BLS Certification – Required
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) – Required
Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience
Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred
Strong communication and clinical judgment in acute care settings
Per Prisma Health policy, all agency staff may be required to float to different units or campuses based on staffing needs. Floating will be limited to units where the nurse is deemed clinically competent.
Full Bill Rate: Eligible if 100+ miles from the facility
Reduced Rate (10%): Applicable to candidates located 90–99.9 miles away
Not Eligible: Candidates within 90 miles of the facility
