Position Summary:

A busy and high-performing Emergency Department is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a night shift travel contract. The nurse must have strong critical thinking skills, experience with telemetry, and the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms. The assignment requires flexibility, a readiness to float within scope, and strict adherence to facility standards for emergency care.

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License (must be in hand at submission)

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred

• Certifications (Required):

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  • NIH Stroke Scale

• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms (required to pass a hospital-proctored test with >80% rhythm accuracy and 100% critical rhythm accuracy)

• Experience with Epic charting and Omnicell medication system

• Proficiency with telemetry

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• Triage experience

• Level 1 trauma center experience

• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

• Scrub Colors: Navy or white top with navy bottoms

• Flu Vaccine: Required by 11/1. Exemptions (medical/religious) must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date
